Jinglebush Hardtoes portrait Jingle left his home at his parents Gold Mine in search of adventure. As hobbits go he was quite strong and fairly nimble. Everyone says not to trust a hobbit because they all could be thieves. Perhaps this is so. Jingle really hasn't any interest in stealing, though he does like to explore and sometimes that means climbing a wall, picking a lock, or avoiding a trap. Jingle was capable of holding his own in a fight even against much larger opponents. That was before he sought adventure. Since then he's grown much stronger.

Stronger that is, with the aid of a belt he came across while exploring. Wearing that belt he was disoriented with the feeling that everything in the world had become weaker and lighter. Boulders felt like they were made of light wood and crumbled like pound cake in his hands. He discovered shortly that while wearing the belt he had the strength of the largest, strongest of giants. The perversity of his small stature and the greatness of his strength tickled his fancy. Normal objects became weapons of great destructions in his hands. A sack of flour thrown by his accurate hand could take out a monster while bursting and blinding those around it.

Jingle always looks for wrongs to right and people to help. He'll put himself in harms way if necessary. The party that Jingle hooked up with ended up with a few "perks" such as a flying carpet. Of course that can attract unwanted attention like from dragons and people who would covet it. It also was a bit of a hinderence if you ever went places you could not fly the carpet through. It is too attractive to just leave and even burying it  leaves it unprotected. But who to leave behind to protect it. If enough are left behind to protect it, the party going forth is weakened significantly.

Jingle and the Dragon To Jingle the concept of "roughing it" means having to do without his down pillow and running out of choclate. You'll find that Jingle tends to always find room on top of his pack for a large down pillow and a stash of chocolate and other sweets in his pack and pouch. Of course a pillow is just about the same as a feather bed to a hobbit. Hamocks are pretty comfy too as long as there are trees. Comfort is as one can make it. To Jingle home is wherever he is.

Jingle was created using First Edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, but as typical for me it is the role playing that is important rather than the rules.

BTW Jingle doesn't fly very well, but can grab onto and hold on tight to a dragon in a pinch.
